Training Philosophy
My training philosophy is centered on creating well-rounded, individualized programs that help people become stronger, more capable, and more confident in their bodies. I believe both weightlifting and bodyweight resistance training have an important place in a balanced exercise program. The method chosen should reflect each person’s goals, preferences, experience, and physical capabilities.
Additionally, I believe that more is not necessarily better. I personally train two sets to failure if I train the same muscle group twice a week. I will train using four sets if I train each body part once a week. This is simply to reduce the soreness between the days until the next time you work out that same body part to aid in the recovery process.
Integrating both training methods can lead to a more comprehensive fitness journey. Weightlifting can provide the necessary overload to stimulate muscle growth, while bodyweight exercises can enhance core stability and functional movement patterns. A balanced program might include compound lifts such as squats and deadlifts alongside bodyweight exercises like push-ups and pull-ups. This combination not only fosters strength but also helps in injury prevention and improves overall athleticism.
